Welcome to the Ninth Season of orchestral performances presented by the Ars Flores Symphony!
We perform a challenging classical repertoire, as well as nurturing a variety of other musical genres through performance, public master classes, community involvement, and an annual concerto competition open to secondary- and conservatory-level musicians.
Ars Flores also mentors extraordinarily talented young artists, affording them the opportunity to initiate their professional musical careers in an array of venues.
The 2008/09 Season Opening Concert, From the Fjords to Florida, featured soloists David and Julie Coucheron, who each received well deserved standing ovations. They further captivated those in attendance with a beautiful and delightful unscheduled duet at concert’s end.

CONCERTO COMPETITION FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
Ars Flores thanks and congratulates everyone who entered this year’s Ars Flores Young Artists Concerto Competition. The caliber of musicianship and obvious dedication displayed by each competitor proves their great love of producing beautiful music.
While the selection process was difficult, Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce the Finalists in this year’s competition.

The live Final Round of competition takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2008, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center on the campus of Nova Southeastern University.
Tickets, at $10 and $5, may be purchased through this website, or at the door on the afternoon of the competition.
Competition Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Final Performances.
