Auditions
The Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra is comprised of professional musicians (Mentors) playing side-by-side with motivated, gifted secondary, university and conservatory-level students (Fellows). Selection for the orchestra is by audition, and is extremely competitive.
Auditions are by appointment only. Musicians will play one solo, plus all major and minor scales and arpeggios, and sight-read at the discretion of the AFSO Artistic Director.
Audition dates for our 2011-2012 season have been scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, 2011 and Thursday, September 1, 2011, between 7:00pm and 10:00pm. Auditions will be held at Nova Southeastern University’s campus in the Don Taft University Center Building, Room #309.
If you are interested in auditioning, please contact Amy Odenwalder, Orchestra Manager, at amy.odenwalder@live.com for an audition time.
Professionals/Mentors: If you play in a Professional Orchestra in South Florida (for example, the Palm Beach Pops or Miami Symphony, etc.), no audition is required, but please send your resume.
