The National Chopin Competition, founded and sponsored by the Chopin Foundation, has been held in Miami every five years since 1975. During March 5th - March 13th, 2005, young American pianists from around the country competed for substantial cash prizes and concert tours which will take them to concert stages around the world. Top winners will be sent to Warsaw, Poland, to participate in the International Chopin Competition - the oldest and most prestigious piano competition in the world. But first, the winner of the national competition, Mei-Ting Sun, will make his debut concert in Southeast Florida with Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra!
